What Did We do?

Alongside the client, we developed a narrative helping to open discussions about what content should be included. We helped guide the editing process, educate about information sharing and specialisms like conservation, which helped focus the client and also to refine their archival procedures.

We translated the objects and content into accessible stories for visitors. We pushed the client to link objects to what the organisation does and stands for, sometimes challenging the status quo.

Look and Feel

Establishing visual components, materials and details was key to ensuring a consistent look and feel. Within the factory itself we used a semi industrial flight case aesthetic, delicate use of mesh as a holder in the gallery space and an officers club look for the more formal reflection room.

Project Management

Stuco led on project management including responsibility for overall budget, managing contractors & guiding client deliverables. With a Royal Visit scheduled from early on, we were always working to a fixed deadline that kept us all on track.

Satisfied Client

So pleased with the outcome of the project, Poppyscotland have now moved our attention to delivering Phase 2: an additional education space alongside coorporate meeting zones. It’s always great to continue working with returning satisfied clients!

We approached Stuco for help redefining our visitor tour experience at the newly refurbished Lady Haig Poppy Factory. There was a shell of a building but we needed clarity. We found the team at Stuco to be creative, patient and approachable.”
