Background
The east side of Loch Lomond is a much more tranquil place than the busy A82 which speeds up the west. Between Balloch and Drymen sits Kilmaronock, home to a resilient community and the only rural parish in West Dunbartonshire. The place has been transformed in recent years with many working-from-home and letting houses for visitors. Our work alongside the Trust interprets the local story and plays these contemporary facts against local diaries and statistical accounts spanning 300 years.
Team work
We worked closely with the project architects for the refurbishment and conservation of the Kirk (Church, in Scots dialect) to make sure that lighting, colour-ways and finishes were inline with the designs of the heritage centre we were creating: from initial tender response, above, to the finished article, top. The Trust as a client were professional, trusting and committed to our same standard of excellence.
Project Management
Swiftly costing up the project and nominating subcontractors for joinery, graphic and digital production we costed the project immediately and laid out the project schedule, revolving this around engagement sessions and other key milestones to ensure success. Having spent some holidays at the manse, directly beside the Kirk, we’re really happy to see the community have a lovely, engaging space for the future.
