What Did We do?
The National Trust’s Urban Places Programme is breathing life back into town and city parks - the places we escape the otherwise hard urban landcapes.
Working alongside long term partners O street and locals, Creative Concern, we were involved throughout the process with insights to help win the project and also taking a strategic view of how the space would be used and accessed.
As Creative Concern workshopped with locals and O street developed an in identity, we worked on concepts for developing an array of interpretative components, from plant markers to industrial scale hoardings.

Expertise
We played an integral role in facilitating communication between the design team, project planners and architects as well as arranging Statutory Applications, specifying materials, overseeing production, install and managing those costs.
We had the expertise of delivering a project like this and bringing all the ideas to life.
Challenges
As press interest grew and this highly bespoke project came to fruition there were a number of challenges presented to us: ever-changing site conditions, delays, a heatwave, client alterations and last minute redesigns. Our unequivocal approach meant that the client still received a final product to their satisfaction.
Collaboration
The project was experimental and testy, but a really fun group of collaborators to cross pollinate ideas with meant we retained the vibrancy of design and included the fun details that were there at the beginning of the process.
The design team also engaged Tommy Perman to create a soundscape from the site.
