What Did We do?

Taking a leaf from Darwin’s book, this exhibition’s purpose is to get children to explore their own back gardens or local parks to impress the importance of biodiversity.

Aimed at young families, we designed a rounded aesthetic and bright colour scheme incorporating Jill Calder’s inimitable style of illustrations. Backlit hedges (you can crawl through some of them) include activities to help understand the food chain, around the pond you can identify animal tracks and visitors could see those animals up close in the garden shed. All these using NMS’ wonderful collection of preserved animals.

Entertained the children for a long time - we had to drag them away!”

Lots of fun activities, interactive and educational.”
