Creating spaces in 3 different venues for 3 separate campaigns, all to be installed at the same time, and designed at speed, sounds a bit daunting. Especially when the spaces are for a client with the reputation of interface - the largest supplier of carpet tiles in the world.
There were other questions to resolve. One campaign - describing interface's R&D work with collaborators - had great stories to tell but a huge amount of information to get across. The other, an overview of interface's long standing environmental policy, the exact opposite. The third area, within the Clerkenwell showroom itself, was focussed on product launch but also required a nod to the other 2 campaigns.
We answered the problem by being calm, consistent, asking the right questions early on, and developing a robust strategy with long-term collaborators, Good Creative.
We created a modular family kit (based on the tile sizes themselves) which we could pick from, changed the mood in the first two areas with lighting, and for added value, devised touring flight cases which blended seamlessly with interfaces commitment to be carbon neutral by 2020.
